Business Scope
Coal-fired Power Generation
GMIE is operating 11.72 GWs of coal-fired power plants, 40% of which are circulating fluidized bed generators. With more than 20 years of operation and management experience in low-calorific coal-fired power generation, the Group gives priority to developing low-calorific coal-fired power plants to promote energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection. In addition, GMIE is committed to strengthening the deep integration of energy industry and modern information technology, continuously promoting the construction of "Internet+" intelligent energy, speeding up the pace of "smart power plants", improving quality and efficiency, and achieving clean and efficient use of coal. It actively expands the power transmission market and turns resource advantage into economic advantage. At present, the Group accounts for 46% of the power transmission capacity outside the province.
New Energy
To answer the call of the country to develop clean energy, GMIE focus on the strategic objectives of "carbon peak, carbon neutrality", and keep increase the weight of clean energy business. At present, the operation of new energy projects in GMIE has reached 880MWs, increasing 2.4 times in three years and has gradually become the new development engine of the Group. GMIE will continue to actively lay out the development of “integration of wind power, solar photovoltaic, hydro power, thermal power and energy storage” as well as "Integration of power supply, power grid, load and energy storage" promotes leapfrog development of clean energy and builds a modern energy system.
Sewage Treatment
GMIE operates sewage treatment plants in more than 10 cities throughout the province with waste water treatment capacity of 343 thousand tons per day and regenerated water recycling capacity of 210 thousand tons per day. Based on municipal sewage treatment and reclaimed water reuse, the Group actively carries out sludge treatment equipment manufacturing and sales, environmental engineering, water treatment technology application and other related businesses to improve the utilization of renewable resources and promote the development of social circular economy.
